Sustaining a startup is grueling. Sure, there\u2019s the off-chance you might sell, but that\u2019s likely five to ten years out. In between, there\u2019s countless sacrifices along the way. And if you\u2019re among \u201cthe other 95%\u201d, there\u2019s all that same sacrifice only to ultimately wind down something you\u2019ve put more into than potentially anything else in your life.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Why on earth should anyone commit to this? Simple\u200a\u2014\u200abecause you can\u2019t not do it. Because if you don\u2019t, then who will? This reasoning is similar to the makings of great side projects.
